Whilst working in the North of England, far from his Southern home, an anxious John Stevenson logs into his desktop computer every morning and evening. Isolated from his wife and son for 4 days in a cheap hotel, he feels lonely and frustrated. Through force of habit and a longing to be home, he frequents his community’s social media page, despite the hotel’s archaic technology. He slowly discovers a bizarre situation unfolding in his town.
